Baked Apples

This was a nice and simple recipe from slimming world! Surprisingly sweet with the apple and the mincemeat – might actually need to find a way to reduce the sweetness a bit more.

But for now it will do.

Serves: 4
  • 4 Cooking Apples
  • 4 Tbsp Mincemeat
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Ice cream or Low Fat Natural Yoghurt to serve
  1. Preheat the over to 180oC (fan)
  2. Core the apples using a spoon or an apple corer
  3. Mix the cinnamon with the mincemeat and fill each apple with a tablespoon of the mixture
  4. Place the apples in a tray filled with water (enough to cover the base of the tray)
  5. Bake the apples for 30-40 minutes
This will be syn free if you eat it as your Healthy B option or 3.5 syns
(1.5 syns per 100g of cooked apple & 2 syns per tablespoon of mincemeat)
